Nourishing “With woman”

Homebirth Doula Services

Childbearing is a sacred, transformative journey. It is a metamorphosis. No woman remains unchanged through her experience, and her experience impacts her for life. Childbearing requires responsibility and intentionality throughout the entire process. It is not the time for busy-ness or ignorance. It is the time for nourishment, for preparation, for surrender. Some are called to traverse this journey alone, while others desire the support of a wise, nurturing woman to walk alongside them.

My Beliefs

I believe childbearing is a natural, innate, physiological process that is as normal as our other physiological processes. I believe childbearing was designed by a wise Creator, who made no mistakes in His design. I believe childbearing is the time for intentional, holistic (whole-body) nourishment, and that this is true prenatal care. It is not the time for routine procedures, fearful medical providers, and a stifled spirit and intuition. It is the time for protective, wise, nurturing maternal instincts to awaken and flourish. Every woman deserves to be honored, respected, nourished, and deeply cared for as she grows, births, and raises the next generation.

Are you struggling to find a doula who is knowledgeable about physiological birth?

Many women begin their search knowing they want a homebirth or a natural, physiological experience, and quickly realize that not all doulas are comfortable with this. Some support “natural birth” in theory, but still carry fear around undisturbed labor, intensity, or the unknowns that come with trusting the body. It can be discouraging to sense hesitation, subtle alarm, or a lack of experience with homebirth. You long for a doula who doesn’t just tolerate physiological birth, but understands it, respects it, and isn’t afraid of it. My support is rooted in years of training and experience in physiological birthing at home, so you can be confident that you’re hiring a knowledgeable and capable doula.

Do you want more than bare minimum support?

Many doulas are trained to offer support that begins late in pregnancy and ends shortly after birth: a few prenatal visits, labor support, a single postpartum check in. For some families, that’s enough. But you feel a deeper desire for something more nourishing. You want continuity, relationship, and nourishing care that weaves through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I offer different packages that meet you at the level of relationship, intimacy, and support you desire.

Are you longing for care that meets you truly where you are?

As women explore their options, they often notice birth spaces can feel polarized: either highly clinical or spiritual in ways that may not resonate with their personal beliefs. Some feel uncomfortable with language or practices that seem unfamiliar or assumed, while others hope their faith will be understood and honored. Many families long for support that meets them where they are. They want someone who can hold space without adding ideology, and who cares for both secular and Christian families with equal tenderness and respect. I meet you where you are, offering faith filled support for Christian families and the same respectful, intimate, nourishing support for secular families preparing for a physiological homebirth.

Are we the right fit for each other?

Birth is a life changing experience, so it is crucial to choose the right birth attendants. I am not the right fit for every family and not every family is the right fit for me.

I may be the right fit for you if you desire:

To honor your body’s innate design. Your body was made for this. I trust in the natural rhythms of birth and provide guidance and support that aligns with your intuition and physiology.

To protect the natural flow of birth. With a deep respect for undisturbed labor, I help create the conditions where birth unfolds as it was designed to. My presence often leads to fewer interventions, allowing your body to do what it was divinely created to do without unnecessary disruption.

Guidance for your partner. Birth is a transformational journey for the whole family. I support not only you but also your partner, offering guidance so they can show up fully present and engaged. Whether it’s providing advice on how to better support you, simply reassuring them, or taking over when they need a break, I help cultivate a space where everyone feels confident and connected.

A nurtured postpartum. The moments after birth are sacred and set the foundation for bonding and healing. I help you ease into this transition with breastfeeding support, nourishment, and gentle postpartum care, ensuring you are held as you step into motherhood. I also take care of the post birth cleanup, allowing your family to rest and bond with your newest family member.

Ongoing connection and shared community. Clients are invited to join local monthly Women’s Gatherings designed to nurture relationships, offer encouragement, and create space for genuine friendships to form among women walking a similar path.

If you feel seen in these words, I would love to walk with you.

Laboring woman is being supported by her husband and midwife as she labors on the bed.
Frequently Asked Questions

A doula is a non-medical support person. My role is to care for you emotionally, physically, and informationally throughout pregnancy, labor, and the early postpartum period. I offer presence, encouragement, comfort measures, education, and reliable support while honoring the decisions you make for your body and your baby.

I do not provide clinical care, perform medical tasks, diagnose conditions, or replace a midwife or doctor. Instead, I work alongside a provider to help you feel informed, supported, and cared for as you move through your experience.

A midwife is a primary care provider for pregnancy and birth. She is responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of the mother and her baby, performing assessments, and bringing the clinical training and experience needed to guide care and respond if something requires attention.

My role is different. I remain by your side continuously, tending to your comfort, helping you process information, supporting your partner, and holding the emotional and practical elements of the experience. While a midwife focuses on health and safety, I focus on how you are feeling, what you are needing, and how you are moving through the journey.

I primarily serve families planning homebirth. My work is rooted in supporting physiological, family-centered birth in that environment, and much of my experience and preparation is centered there.

While home is my specialty, I also support families birthing at freestanding birth centers and bring the same attentiveness, presence, and respect for the natural unfolding of labor into that setting as well.

My service radius is on a case-by-case basis, but I do charge a travel fee outside of a 45 mile radius from Boiling Springs, SC.

Our first conversation, before any contracts are signed, usually happens in a relaxed public place such as a coffee shop near you or at a halfway point if you live farther away. This gives us space to meet one another and discern whether we feel like a good fit.

Once we decide to move forward, our contract signing and next prenatal visit will take place in your home. Future meetings can be flexible. Many families enjoy gathering at home, while others may prefer a park, a library, or another comfortable setting. For those who live at a greater distance, we often create a thoughtful blend of in-person and virtual visits, sometimes meeting halfway when that makes sense.

Our final prenatal is always in your home so your space, layout, and birth logistics are fresh in my mind as we approach your birthing time.

Yes. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due at booking in order to reserve your place on my calendar. The remaining balance is due by 35 weeks of pregnancy so I can confidently commit my availability to your birth.

You are welcome to divide that remaining amount into smaller payments over time. If the balance has not been completed by 35 weeks, I will not be able to guarantee my attendance at your birth.

We stay in close communication as labor unfolds. I typically join you when labor is asking for more focused, in-person support or when you simply feel ready for me to be there. My intention is always to arrive in a way that feels supportive rather than rushed or disruptive, while also thoughtfully navigating timing so I have the energy to remain fully present for the parts of labor where you will need the most from me.

It can look different from moment to moment because birth is dynamic. Support may include hands-on comfort, position suggestions, creating a peaceful environment, encouraging rest, offering food or hydration reminders, supporting your partner, or simply sitting quietly with you so you are not alone. My support is personalized to you, your needs, and your journey.

Very much. Partners often want to be very involved but may feel unsure how to help. I offer guidance, reassurance, and practical ideas so they can participate in ways that feel natural and meaningful to them. Rather than replacing them, I work to strengthen their role and confidence. If needed, I take over to allow them to rest so that they can continue showing up when you need them most.

I do not supply or administer remedies. What I do offer is education, helping you understand common options, how families typically use them, and ways they may fit into your preferences.

If you would like to use remedies you have chosen and obtained, I am happy to offer them to you during labor at your request.

Yes. If plans change and a transfer becomes necessary, I remain your doula. My role is to stay with you, help you navigate the shift, continue comfort and communication support, and provide familiar presence in a new environment.

You are the decision maker in your birth. My job is never to take that role from you.

I help you understand your options, think through preferences ahead of time, and feel confident enough in the moment to communicate what you want. If needed, I can help voice your questions or remind others of your wishes, but I always look to you for direction.

Often, women describe a sense of recognition when they’ve found the right support. If my approach resonates with you, if you value relationship, and if you desire care that is reliable, respectful, and deeply attentive, there’s a good chance we may be a beautiful fit. The best next step is a conversation so we can feel that out together.

Let’s Connect

“She was truly an answered prayer. Going into my birth, I had laid it all at the Father’s feet—I just wanted His will, whatever that looked like. And somehow, in His kindness, He placed her right in the middle of my story. I don’t even know where to begin because words feel too small for what she meant to me in one of the most vulnerable and sacred seasons of my life.
She didn’t just “do her job.” She showed up for me—fully, gently, faithfully. In the quiet moments, in the hard moments, in the unknown. She carried a calm strength that steadied me when I felt overwhelmed, and a compassion that made me feel seen, safe, and deeply cared for.
There were so many ways she supported me that I didn’t even realize I would need. Emotionally, physically, spiritually—she was there through it all. Not just as a doula, but as a steady presence and a gift I will never forget.
Because of her, my birth experience was not just something I went through—it was something I felt held in.
I will forever be grateful for her, for her heart, and for the way she serves women in such a meaningful and selfless way. She was part of the story of bringing my baby into this world, and that is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”

“Arianna was truly such a God-send in my home birth journey!! Even though all of her support was virtual, it made such a HUGE difference for me. I felt pretty overwhelmed in the beginning and needed guidance, especially since a lot of the supplies and herbal remedies were on me to gather for my home birth. Her thorough birth prep guide helped me know exactly what to get and understand my options, which gave me so much peace and confidence going into my birth.
I’m especially grateful that she helped me prepare for possible complications, not just the “ideal” scenario. So when my placenta didn’t release and I began hemorrhaging, I ended up using every single remedy she had recommended. Even in the most difficult moments of birth & postpartum I felt safe & prepared!! That alone means everything to me!
During postpartum, when I realized I had a prolapse, she recommended vaginal steams and pelvic floor exercises, which truly made a difference in my healing. And 2 years later, the vaginal steams still makes a huge impact for my prolapse!! I honestly can’t imagine my birth or postpartum journey without her wisdom and support. I’m so thankful to God for her guidance! Truly!!
I wish every woman could feel that kind of support, encouragement, and confidence going into birth & postpartum. Arianna is truly the kind of person you want in your corner!!!”
