If you learn to listen to your intuition, you won’t need to keep following the research to make the best choices for your child.
Research only confirms what your intuition knew all along.
You don’t need research to confirm or validate any of the decisions you make for your child.
Your intuition is enough.
Be confident in the credibility of your intuition. Don’t suppress it.
No professional with decades of education and work experience will know your child better than you.
Those who’ve mothered for 50 years don’t know your child better than you.
Those who have 10 kids don’t know your child better than you.
Your parents don’t know your child better than you.
You know your child better than anyone.
Your intuition gives you the deepest insight into your child.
Some things I did intuitively and later came across the research that supported my decisions:
Not putting a hat on my baby at birth.
Not putting socks or mittens on my baby.
Not swaddling.
Cosleeping.
No pacifiers.
No bottles.
Nursing on demand.
Infrequent bathing.
Minimizing toxins that go in or on my baby.
Minimal container use.
Feeding solids later when my baby was ready.
No shoes on my child unless we were both walking together in public or somewhere unsafe.
Not following any charts or guidelines.
Avoiding unnecessary pharmaceuticals.
And many more…
