If you’re new to natural, nontoxic living, it can quickly become overwhelming with so many different perspectives and opinions. This guide’s goal is to simplify this process for you and introduce you to foundational health steps all in one place. Bookmark this post and refer back to as often as needed.
These resources changed my life for the better. I grew up eating a lot of unhealthy food, using toxic beauty and cleaning products, and not honoring my body’s needs. This changed when I got married in the summer of 2019, and shortly after became pregnant with my first baby. I’ve been on an incredible journey since then, unlearning and learning so much, and healing in many ways. I hope you find these resources to be as helpful to you as they were, and still are, to me.
We are going to cover:
- Healthy Eating
- Nontoxic Living
- Physical Health
- Psychological Health
- Spiritual Health
Keep in mind, I don’t always resonate with every aspect of every resource. I encourage you to use your own discernment—take what serves you and leave the rest. Everyone’s journey is unique, and what works for one person may not work for another.
Don’t allow yourself to stress over perfectionism or things out of your control. Focus on achieving a healthy balance, and remember, your health journey is a lifelong process. It’s not meant to be achieved overnight. The stress caused by fear, anxiety or perfectionism isn’t conducive to healing. Find comfort and peace in the fact that we were created with a resilient body that is always healing and is always working to keep itself in balance.
Some of these books are still in queue to be read, but I am still listing based on the recommendations of trusted sources.
