Before pregnancy tests, you found out that you were pregnant from conception signs or pregnancy signs.
Some conception signs are uterine cramps, spotting, and intuitive inner knowing.
Some pregnancy signs are extreme hunger or lack of appetite, nausea, bloat, changes in excretion, and hormonal changes. Some women wouldn’t experience any signs and their growing belly was the tell tale sign of pregnancy as time went on.
The problem with pregnancy tests and prenatal vitamins is that women don’t take preconception health seriously until they confirm their pregnancy with a pregnancy test.
Then they realize they haven’t been nourished enough for pregnancy, so they get “serious” about their health by taking a prenatal “vitamin”.
Prenatal vitamins can NOT nourish the body like a healthy lifestyle does. They can even cause harm. Believing that the prenatal vitamin covers all of their body’s nutritional needs, they continue on with their malnourished lifestyle.

Unsure of the health of their baby and pregnancy, they began standardized, medicalized prenatal care to monitor and manage their depleted body, their pregnancy, and baby.

Pregnancy tests, prenatal vitamins, and prenatal care have created a lackadaisical approach to preconception and pregnancy… and women’s health in general.
Now imagine pregnancy tests, prenatal vitamins, and prenatal care don’t exist. You take your health seriously and intentionally foster a nourishing lifestyle because you know there is a possibility that you can conceive.
You focus on eating sufficient amount of nourishing food. You focus on reducing and managing stress well. You focus on minimizing your exposure to toxins. You focus on nourishing your body, soul, and spirit.
You intentionally cultivate a nourished life.
And when you conceive, intentionally or not, there is no fear, no guilt, no anxiety or stress because your body is well nourished and you know your pregnancy is also well nourished. It doesn’t matter whether you have only been pregnant for a week or 8 weeks or 14 weeks. Being pregnant doesn’t change anything about your lifestyle because your lifestyle naturally supports it.

Women, love yourself enough to cultivate an intentional lifestyle that is nourishing. Stop waiting for the positive pregnancy test to start “prenatal care”.
“Prenatal care” and “prenatal vitamins” are a marketing scam and completely irrelevant when you naturally lead a healthy lifestyle.
It’s fun to confirm a pregnancy with a pregnancy test because it makes it feel “real”, but I think that that should be the extent of it’s purpose. I believe that every woman who has the possibility of conceiving and every man who has the possibility of impregnating should strive to care for their health. It is a responsibility that comes with sex… and even just having a body.
Preconception health and prenatal care IS a nourishing, healthy lifestyle. A nourishing, healthy lifestyle is sufficient for preconception health and prenatal care.
