Gentle support for your body’s natural balance
Body Balancing
Serving Spartanburg and the surrounding Upstate communities, Body Balancing offers gentle sessions that support nervous system regulation and the body’s natural balance. Whether you’re seeking greater ease during pregnancy, supporting your growing child, or simply desiring a quiet space to reconnect with your body, each session is thoughtfully tailored to you.

Our bodies hold the stories of our lives.
Pregnancy, birth, injury, illness, emotional stress, daily living, and even the way we move through the world can influence how our bodies adapt over time. Sometimes those adaptations resolve naturally. Other times, our bodies continue holding patterns of tension or compensation long after the original event has passed. When this happens, we may simply feel “off” without always knowing why.
Body Balancing is a gentle approach that works with the body’s natural rhythms and encourages greater ease, balance, and nervous system regulation. Rather than using force or manipulation, this work involves light, intentional techniques while listening carefully to the body’s subtle responses. The goal is not to “fix” the body, but to create an environment where the body can unwind patterns of tension and move toward greater balance in its own way.
Every person is unique, and every session is different.
My approach to Body Balancing has been shaped through training with Ruth Shepard, founder of Embody Balancing. I have completed all three levels of her Embody Balancing training, where I studied gentle techniques designed to support whole-body balance and nervous system regulation across every stage of life.
This education emphasizes listening to the body rather than directing it, honoring the wisdom already present within each individual. Rather than relying on forceful techniques or predetermined protocols, I was trained to work gently, observing how the body responds and allowing each session to unfold according to the individual’s needs.
My training included working with adults, pregnant women, postpartum mothers, infants, children, and older adults while learning to recognize patterns of compensation throughout the body and support greater balance.
Some people seek this work after periods of physical or emotional stress. Others simply desire support for overall well-being or wish to encourage greater comfort and ease within their bodies. Many parents also choose this gentle work for their babies and children as they grow and develop.
Because every body and every life experience is different, no two sessions are exactly alike. My role is simply to provide a calm, supportive environment where your body has the opportunity to settle into greater ease.
While Body Balancing may support relaxation, comfort, and nervous system regulation, it is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition, nor is it a substitute for medical care. Instead, it offers a gentle space for the body to settle, reorganize, and do what it was beautifully designed to do.
